All C&K Songs, all night long
With special guest Johnny Valentine

Celebrating the laid-back island rock of Cecilio & Kapono (C&K), the group that rocketed him to fame in the 1970s, Kapono will be joined by special guest Johnny Valentine for “The Songs of C&K”.* With this tour, Henry Kapono takes the audience “Back in the Day”, performing the much-loved Songs of C&K, from romantic ballads to songs of the land to island party tunes designed to “put a smile on your face and good feelings in your heart”.

Special Guest Johnny Valentine,* Hawaii Music Award Winner, has spent most of his life entertaining in the heart of Waikiki. From shows to nightclubs, Johnny has become known as Hawai‘i’s most versatile singer. Notes Johnny’s nephew Bruno Mars, "He is one of my inspirations".

Henry Kapono is a performer who has it all – vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, composer, thrilling performer, audience favorite—and multiple honors and awards, including a Grammy nomination. He has taken home numerous Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, Hawai‘i’s Grammy, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Henry keeps a lot of different irons in the fire. He has been at the creative forefront of contemporary Hawaiian music throughout his career – from Cecilio & Kapono in the 1970s and 80s, to launching his solo career that produced 17 albums and fans around the world, to his groundbreaking Wild Hawaiian collaborations that fused the power of Hawaiian traditions with driving rock rhythms and a soundtrack for the new century.

Today, Henry is widely known for his legendary “Dukes on Sunday” afternoon concerts on Waikiki Beach (and every good beach venue throughout the islands) as well as for his Henry Kapono & Friends on-going concert series bringing Hawaii’s top entertainer together to shine in fun & unique collaborations!
