This intimate showcase of talents features the cante (singing) of Vicente Griego, who is one of the most sought after artists in North America. In fact, he made his Cante Adelante (Solo Singing Performance) right here at the Aladdin to rave reviews from critics and audience members alike.
Portland artists dancer/choreographer Mitsue "La Pura", owner of the acclaimed Solo Flamenco Arts Academy, and guitarist Mark Ferguson bring their commitment to the preservation of traditional Flamenco to the performance. While their styles and skills are dynamic and individual, their respect and intense training in traditional Flamenco always gives the audience the most authentic Flamenco experience possible outside of Spain.
Guest artist Jason Martinez, who plays the cajon (percussion box) and also dances has a strong reputation and following based on his years of study of the art form. This is Jason's Portland debut, and his exciting dance style and impeccable rhythm round off an evening of Flamenco that will not be soon forgotten.
