ThePianoGuys
ThePianoGuys
Who are The Piano Guys? Five guys from different walks of life, with different skill sets, from different places. Each had built their own careers as a piano store owner, a music producer, a videographer, a pianist, and a cellist. All had the same ambition - to inspire the world with the talents given them. They met through seemingly happenstance, but divinely influenced circumstances. Combined, they had the tools, the passion, and the drive necessary to independently build one of the most successful music video production companies in the world. In less than a year The Piano Guys have amassed over 90 million video views, 500,000 subscribers and 200,000 Facebook Fans. Their YouTube channel is among the 50 fastest growing in the known universe - beyond high profile artists of tunes they have covered! Every day they chalk up 3,000 new followers and a half-million more video views.

How can five guys with classical instruments, no lyrics, and a smattering of video equipment trump huge multi-million dollar record companies? Some say it’s their award-winning music, which is starkly unique - powerfully emotive, clever, and inspiring. They like to put a new spin on old songs and an old spin on new songs, creating an incomparable style - an eclectic mix of classical, film score, rock, and pop. They have been called “ambassadors” of classical music, living proof that “real music” and “real instruments” still live on. Their music has motivated millions both young and old to dust off their instruments and to begin music lessons, or just simply to smile, laugh, or breathe in the beauty of the Earth. Some say it’s the broad appeal of their music; a sampling of concert spectators reveals an audience from all walks of life across generational gaps. Some say it’s their atypical tendency to not take themselves too seriously, manifested in the Victor Borge-like comedy in their videos and concerts. Some say it's their “signature move” of taking their instruments (especially grand pianos) and video equipment to unbelievable places. Others say its because The PianoGuys are front-lining a fresh standard in the entertainment industry where all members of the production team, both in front and behind the camera, are equals in the creation of the end product. At the end of the day, The Piano Guys love what they do, and it shows. They are ordinary guys that have been given an extraordinary opportunity to affect the world. They are guys that love their families and thank God every day for the opportunity they have to do what they love.
